Obituary of Ronald T. Gates

"Wales- Ronald T. “Pearly” Gates, 75, of Shaw Rd., passed away March 11, 2007 at Mary Lane Hospital. Born in Waltham, MA on March 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Fred L. and Gertrude (Shaw) Gates. Pearly has been a longtime resident of Wales and a well known man around town. For most of his life, he was self-employed as a mechanical fabricator and worked for Trant for many years. Pearly was an avid gun collector and enjoyed gunsmithing. He was also a part of the Wales Senior Center. He will be missed by fellow residents and friends. A memorial graveside will be held Saturday April 28th at 10:00 a.m. at Wales Cemetery. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made to his estate for the assistance of the services. An account has been set up at County Bank in Ron's name. "
