Shannon, you have been the perfect friend that anyone could ever ask for. You were like a sister to me. You have given so much joy and happiness to your friends and family and I cannot come up with a single reason as to why God had to take you away from us. I will always be thinking of you, and I know you will always be smiling down upon your friends and family. You always brought a smile to my face and I will always miss those long phone conversations late at night with you. I love you Shannon. We have you in our hearts.

To all of Shannon's family and her friends....you are all in our prayers at this time. Words cannot express our thoughts and we cannot imagine the grief you are suffering. Hold on to the great memories you have of Shannon. She was obviously a bright, intelligent and personable young woman who touched many lives in her short time with us. She will be missed, but her spirit will be with you always. May God be with you and help you through these times.

I am very sorry to hear about Shannon. I am a substitute teacher at Palmer High and had the privledge to have had Shannon on numerious occasions in classes. I found Shannon to be very thoughtful and just an unbeleveable person. Being a substitute at times students aren't very helpful or kind, this was not the case with Shannon. She always took the time to help or just to stop and say hi, she was just one of those students who you really enjoyed seeing every day. Believe me when I say she was a truly remarkable person and will be missed all who knew her. Mr. Alan R. Tomlinson (Coach)

My deepest condolences go out to Shannon's family and friends. Shannon was a wonderful girl who could always bring a smile to everyone's face. From working with her on Student Council, on a grant writing project and in other organizations I remember her as determined. Anythign Shannon set her mind to you know would get done. It's hard to believe that only Saturday night I was looking at pictures of our trip to Mexico and smiling. Thinking about all the fun we had there. Shannon was a beautiful person and she will always be remembered as the person who could make us smile and laugh. The person who could cheer anyone up when they were in a bad mood. She is looking down on all of you now, and remember she wants to see a smile through your tears.

Shannon was one in a million. Its still hard for me to accept that she is gone. She was one of the sweetest and admirable people I knew, truly a role model. She'll be greatly missed by hundreds and by myself especially. To those responsible for her upbringing, you could not have done a finer job. She was an amazing person and she held you in the highest. Have faith that she rests easy and that there is a greater plan for all of us. Although she was taken from us, in her short time she lived a full and successful life. And that is greatly in part of your doing. I wish you all the best. -Mike Kelley

Dorothy, John, Kevin & Marilyn, I know I expressed my sympathy to all of you over this past week, but I feel compelled to at least write a short note on how sorry I am for you. Shannon was like my own child, and I will feel her loss forever with you. My sons have also lost someone dear to their hearts, and I hope them being there to carry Shannon to her final resting place will show you how much she meant to them as well. We will all be there for all of you for anything you need. We will all have to learn to live our lives with this tremendous void, but I hope knowing you are not alone in your grief will give you strength. May God be with you, and much love from this family.

Dear Dorothy,John,Kevin, and Marilyn, We are so sorry for your loss. Words seem so inadequate at this time, but we wanted to try at least to let you know how much your beautiful Shannon has meant to our family. We have been thrilled and blessed since the day Andrew came home from elementary school and told us about his friend Shannon. To watch them grow up together, become closer over the years as friends, teammates, and finally off to college together has been a privilage. It isn't often you meet a friend who makes you a better person just by knowing them. Shannon is that kind of friend for our son. She watched over him and inspired him. When they went off to college and swim events we worried a little less about him because we knew Shannon was there with him. She is a gift you gave to him and to us and she will be with Andrew to inspire him for the rest of his life. Shannon touched our hearts and inspired our sons soul. How can we ever thank you and Shannon for a gift of that magnitude? All we do know for sure is that we will miss her dearly and Andrew will make her proud! May you find some comfort in knowing how many people she touched and how much she was loved. We will always be here for you anytime you need us. Love, Keith, Andrea, and Andrew
