Obituary of Cynthia M. Talbot

"Cynthia M. (Toczko) Talbot, 51, of Fisherdick Road died Saturday, February 03, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Northampton June 4, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia Toczko and was a graduate Hopkins Academy in Hadley. Cindy lived in South Hadley for 12 years, where she and her husband established Dan-Cin Farm in 1981. In 1993, the family relocated to a farm in Ware. In her professional work, she was the manager at Wicks and Sticks in Holyoke, and a switchboard operator at Shriner’s Hospital in Holyoke. She also worked as a cook at Ware Public Schools. She will be remembered for her passion for horses, 4-H events and competitions, and especially for her devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 26 years, Daniel P. Talbot, and her two children, Carolyn and Christopher of Ware, along with many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday evening, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., (Rte. 202). Calling hours also will be Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. On Friday February 9, friends and family may gather at the funeral home by 9:00 a.m. to process to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby for a liturgy of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. A procession led by horse-drawn hearse will follow the Mass, commencing at West Cemetery, Granby. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to either The Regional 4-H Horse Show, c/o Pat Ames-chairwoman, 279 Wheeler Ave., Orange, MA 01364, or Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01102. "
