Obituary of Doris W. Deyo

"New Britain, CT – Doris “Lynn” Deyo, 80, died peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 20, 2007 at Brittany Farms Health Center. Born in Waitsfield, VT, on December 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Schley, Sr. and Grace (Hurdle) Warren. Affectionately know as Lynn, she moved to Western Mass and lived in Chicopee and Springfield before locating to Brimfield where she lived for many years. She then relocated to CT to reside with her daughter Barbara and family. Lynn was employed as a Nurses Aid for 25 years and known as a caring person and worker. She was a loving mother and enjoyed time with her family the most. Her husband, Robert H. Deyo, Sr., who was the love of her life, predeceased her in 1975. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Barbara Tanguay and her husband Raymond, Jr. of Newington, CT, Patricia Giroux and her husband Raymond, Jr. of Thonotosassa, FL and Robert Deyo, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Feeding Hills, MA. Her nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren along with her sisters Dotty Goddard of Southbridge, MA and Pauline Seymour of Springfield survive her. Besides her husband, her brothers, Edmond, Schley, Jr., and Owen along with two sisters, Bonnie Warren and Phyllis Burgess, also predeceased her. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 10:00 am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 North Main St., Palmer, MA. Burial will follow in Brimfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to either the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. "
