On behalf of myself and Susan we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to you Mrs. Steve and your family. Peter will certainly be missed here also. I had many pleasant conversations with Mr. Steve as I called him. He certainly enjoyed talking about alot of things, all of them quite interesting, especially when it came to the railroad. Steam locomotives where something he loved to talk about with me. I enjoyed his company. He was a great man and will be sadly missed by me and Susan. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Mrs. Steve and your family. Susan and Jeff

I extend my sympathies to the Steve family. After so many years, my memories of Mr. Steve are fragmentary, but I know that I enjoyed our conversations, that he was a man of deep and abiding interests, and that he possessed a calm and reassuring presence. Maybe this presence was shaped by his admiration for things of lasting value. Even now, I can picture him at the end of the day in his armchair listening to classical music. I can remember when he explained to me the history of the Leverett schoolhouse. I’m comforted by the belief that his patience, kindness, self-reliance, and respect for others live in his son, Greg.

Kirk and I extend our sincere condolences to you, Judy, and the entire Steve family. We didn't get to talk to Peter that much over the years, as we dropped off or picked up our dogs, and we regret that, because he seemed kind and sincere and gave us glimpses of a great sense of humor in his own quiet way. I hope all your happy memories will help to support you at this difficult time.

I remember Pete as one of my favorite instructors at G.C.C. when I took a course with him called "Energy and Issues". We had a lot of fun and I learned many useful things from him that I still put into practical use today. Pete had a wonderful sense of humor and was one of the most intelligent people I will ever meet. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. I send Pete's family my best wishes and condolences.

To the family of Peter Steve, It is with much sadness that we learned of Peter's passing. We will miss his smile and the twinkle in his eyes that were a part of many thoughtful conversations. Whenever we visited, he willingly shared his life experiences - always the teacher imparting wise counsel. A warm memory of him will be carried forever in our hearts, and we will miss him greatly.

I remember you well, Peter, when I was the Division Secretary in Natural Sciences at GCC. We shared a love of oil painting and animals. It was you who convinced me to get a dog, even though I worked full-time; you said that they slept most of the day and would be okay. From time to time as I enjoy so many hours with my dog, I remember you and recall your advice. I still have the paint brush you gave to me; how thoughtful of you! You were a good co-worker, and a good person to so many. My heart is very heavy and sad that you are no longer here.

to the family of MR. STEVE, i had a opportunity to take a natural history at gcc, to this day and probably for the rest of my life i think of that class because how well it was taught. I enjoyed going, every day Mr. STEVE would write a point to ponder here is a few: "compare your greif with others and they may seem less, don't cut down the tree that gives you shade, the ability to resist temptation is the essence of character, still waters run deep, human ego dictates that the wheel must be redicovered, facts do not cease to exist simply because they are ignored, and a real good one is the grand essentials of life are something to do,something to love, something to hope for!!
