Obituary of George H. Booth

"HOLYOKE - George H. Booth 86, of Palmer, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Born in Brimfield on April 12, 1920, he was the son of the late Howard and Alice (Sherman) Booth. He is an Army Veteran, proudly serving his Country during WWII. He was employed as a foreman for the Jarvis and Jarvis Co., located in Palmer, for 40 years, retiring in 1983. George was an antique dealer and enjoyed displaying some of his items outside of his home. He will be missed by his wife Doris (Gillette) along with his two stepchildren, Cindy Keough and her husband Michael of Monson and Richard Yeomans of Pinellas Park, FL. His two children, Kenneth of NH and Joanne Matarazzo of Maine, also survive him. He leaves his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His stepson, Gary Yeomans and one brother and four sisters predeceased him. A graveside service will be on Saturday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Knoll Cemetery. Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home have been entrusted with funeral arrangements. "
