Obituary of Ella Marjorie Wickham

" Ella Marjorie (Pickhardt) Wickham, 90, formerly of Kellogg St, in Granby, died Sunday at Meadowood Nursing Home in S. Hadley. Born in Thornton, RI, September 13, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Bertha (White) Pickhardt. Mrs. Wickham has lived in Granby since 1958 and worked for Granby Telephone Company for 15 years as an office clerk, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Granby. She was also a member of the Mt. Vernon Chapter #97 Order of the Eastern Star in Belchertown and served as deputy grand marshall. Her husband, Theodore R. Wickham, died in Oct. 2000. She was also predeceased by a daughter Barbara Ione in 1951. She is survived by three close friends, Linda Smith who was like the daughter she lost, and Warren and Pauline Johnson of Belchertown who were like the brother and sister she never had. A calling hour will be Friday from 10:00—11:00 a.m. in the BEERS & STORY S. HADLEY FUNERAL HOME, 646 Newton St, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. The Eastern Star service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Easthampton. At Ella’s request, please make donations to Wickham Scholarship Trust Fund of Mt.
