Obituary of Theresa H. Rule

" Theresa H. Rule, 73, died peacefully in her sleep at home with her family by her side on November 16, 2006. Born in Chicopee on January 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Daigle) Ducharme. Theresa worked numerous jobs in the area but she will be remembered for her loving care giving to her family memebers throughout the years. She was very active in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts serving as a Den Mother. She enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods playing bingo and slots as well as her many winter vacations in Tampa, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. Rule in 2002. Her five children, Robert and his wife Marlene of Shutesbury, Linda Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Pelham, Jeannine LaBossiere and her husband Philip, Timothy and his wife Kathy, and Stephen, with whom she lived, all of Belchertown, will sadly miss her. Her eight grandchildren, Brendon, Chantel, Holly, Chelsea, Lee, Eric, Amy and Brittanie and four great-grandchildren, Kandra, Isaac, Erik and Isaiah and her brother Larry Ducharme and his wife Rena of Granby along with many nieces and nephews also survive her. She also leaves her very close friend Norma Berard. A Funeral Service will be Monday, November 20th at 10:00 am from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Burial is at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Donations may be made in her memory to, Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St. Springfield, MA 01102."
