Obituary of Ruth Fuller

"Ruth B. (Bullock) Fuller of Belchertown died Friday on her 92nd birthday at the Mary Lyon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hampden with her children and family by her side. Born in Arlington, MA on May 12, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie (McEwan) Bullock. Ruth graduated from Jackson College, now a part of Tufts University, in 1935 and went on to teach Latin and foreign languages at Seekonk, MA, Belchertown, Ware, and Chicopee. She retired in 1976 after serving as the Foreign Language Department Head at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. With her husband of 59 years, Louis E. Fuller, who died in 1998, she enjoyed travelling the world and the country. She was also an avid reader, birder, and loved music. She was a member of the Belchertown Congregational Church and the Friends of the Clapp Memorial Library in Belchertown. Ruth is survived by her three children, Jean Doherty of Sarasota, FL, Ted Fuller of Northfield, MA, and Tom Fuller of Belchertown; her brother, Walter Bullock of Arlington, MA; her special sister-in-law, Rachel Collard; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Clapp Memorial Library, P.O.
