Obituary of Merton L. Hatt

" Merton L. Hatt, Jr., 64, was called home to his Lord on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Born in Northampton, on January 29, 1942 he was the son of the late Merton and Fannie (Gallo) Hatt. He lived in Palmer for a short time before moving to Belchertown in 1965. Merton worked for the Hulmes Transportaion Co. for the past 13 years. He loved to square dance and was a member of the Quabbin Valley Twirlers Square Dance Club. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Lois Ann (Clough) along with his four children, Sherry and her husband Jeffery Ingram of Belchertown, Barry with whom he lived, Roger of Coco, FL and John and his wife Tammy of St. John, FL. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, and brothers in laws and sisters in laws in the area. A funeral service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. followed by burial in Pelham Valley Cemetery.
