Obituary of Linda A. Brannigan

"Wilbraham- Linda A. (Leidner) Brannigan, 57, of Brookside Dr., passed away peacefully at home after a long, courageous battle. Born January 26, 1949 in Rockville Center, NY, she is the daughter of Florence (Jaedike) Leidner of Plattsburgh, NY and the late Oscar Leidner. Linda has lived in Wilbraham for 26 years and been an admired teacher in the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District for many years. For the past 10 years, she explored science with her students at Green Meadows Elementary School. Linda saw the beauty in nature and was an inspiration to the many lives she became a part of. Linda will be greatly missed by her mother and husband of 31 years, Dean, along with her four loving children, Mark, Lauren, Kurt and Kristyn. Linda also leaves two brothers, John and his wife Christine of Stony Brook, NY and Scott and his wife Linda of Plattsburgh, NY along with many close friends. The twinkle in her eyes and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 1080 Pleasant St., Palmer, followed by burial in Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.Main St. For those wishing, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to Gynecological Oncology Cancer Research c/o Dr. Michael Seiden, Cox 6, 100 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
