Obituary of Stella B. Dunklee

" Stephania “Stella” B. (Skowyra) Dunklee, died on October 14, 2006 in the Palmer Healthcare Center. Born in Palmer, she was a lifelong resident and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Holda) Skowyra. During WWII she worked at Westover Air Force Base with the Women’s Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Stella was a service representative for New England Telephone for over 34 years and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. Stella was predeceased by her husband Robert Dunklee in 1993. She is survived by a sister Anna LeDuc of Seabring, FL and many nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be Wed. from 10:30-11:30am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 12:00pm in St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in South Hadley. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 153 Magazine St., Springfield, MA 01109. "
