Dear Sherry, Jessie and Emily, Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so saddened to learn of Joe's accident and cannot imagine the pain that you are feeling due to not having him with you. May God bring you a sense of peace and comfort each passing day. We will especially remember how honorable a husband he was, the fact that he was such a devoted and loving father and we don't think that we have ever met a kinder person than he. We always did see "a lot of your Dad in him"! Especially his smile. WE LOVE YOU!!! Thanks Joe for touching our lives! Until we meet in Heaven, this is not goodbye it is..."See You Later. Love Nancy and Ron Picard

Hello, I just recently found out about Joey and want to give you my sincere condolences. I met Joey in 1973, 3rd grade at Chapin Street Elementary School, when he had just moved into Ludlow. I remember it because he didn't have lunch or lunch money that day, and our teacher, Miss O'Neill, asked if I could share my lunch with him (my mother always made me 2 sandwiches and 2 desserts), to which I said yes because I thought it was neat to have another boy in my class named "Joey." In late August, I recently thought of Joe as I passed his former childhood home off of Holyoke Street, and visited my father in Ludlow when he asked me if I had heard of the accident with the electrician from Ludlow (I work in construction safety). He had saved the article, and I was sad to hear that it was Joe. Again, my prayers are with you, your family and friends and Joey. Sincerely, Joe Barbeau, Hampden, MA.
