Obituary of Donald Vargo

"Donald J. Vargo, 66, of Jackson St., died August 20, 2006 at Wingate of West Springfield after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was the son of the late John and Julia (Emody) Vargo. Born in Cleveland, OH, April 1, 1940, Donald has lived here for the past ten years and previously resided in Orlando, Fl and Anchorage, Al. He was a gifted aircraft mechanic and was self-employed as such for many years in Alaska and most recently worked for Gulf Stream in Westfield. In his free time Donald enjoyed piloting his two planes. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 26 years Nancy (Lockwood) Vargo, his two daughters, Wendy Stickland of Sugar Hill, GA and Shonnie Conti of Pensacola Fl. He is also survived by his stepson Mark Dodge of Marshfield, VT, his sister Betty Warpack of Agoura, CA and his five grandchildren, Steven, Ryan, Michelle, Julia and Alyssa. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Clapp Memorial Library, 19 South Main St., Belchertown, MA 01007. Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements"
