Obituary of Eleanor Frances Britt

"Belchertown-Eleanor F. (Simanski) Britt, 73, of Wilson Rd. passed away August 5, 2006 at her home with her family by her side. Born August 14, 1932, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Frances (Sartonawich) Simanski. Eleanor has lived in Belchertown for the past 36 years, previously residing is Sunderland. She worked part time at local colleges and retired in 1994 after 15 years of employment from Atkins Farms on Rte 181 in Belchertown. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald, and children Heather Britt and her husband Pete of Belchertown, and Elaine Mikucki and her husband Jeffrey of Westfield. She also leaves a brother Walter Simanski of Greenfield, four grandchildren, Katherine Britt, Sylvia Braster, Alysia and Marisa Mikucki along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by a sister Maryjane Perrault and brother Frank Simanski. Friends and family may gather at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Hadley. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
