Obituary of Andrea S. Chudy

"Belchertown- Andrea S. (Wojtkielwicz) Chudy, 83, of S. Liberty St. passed away August 5, 2006. Born October 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Leanora (Popofska) Wojtkielwicz. Andrea was predeceased by her husband John S. Chudy, former co-owner of Chudy Oil Co. in Three Rivers. She was born in Hatfield and attended high school in Springfield and Pratt Art Institute in N.Y.C. and went on to an art career. She later married, raised three children and was co-leader in the Girl Scouts. Andrea enjoyed her large garden, apple orchards and breeding fox terriers. She leaves a son, John F. Chudy of Palmer, two daughters Sandra Mullen of Manchester, NH, and Lynn Chudy of Palmer. Andrea is also survived by two sisters, Pauline Wojcik of Chicopee, and Regina Kenneway of FL, five grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by a sister Stella Angelica of Enfield, CT. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.Main St. in Palmer with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Belchertown Senior Center, 60 State St., Belchertown, MA 01007. "
