Obituary of Dorothy A. Smigiel

"Bondsville - Dorothy A. Smigiel, 100, passed away on February 5, 2017. She was born in Wilbraham, MA on September 21, 1916, daughter of Waldislaw and Mary Siok. Dorothy retired, from Monson Developmental Center after working for 20 years as a payroll clerk. She has resided in Bondsville since 1939, and was a member of the Palmer Senior Center and Club 55. She will be missed by her devoted son, Robert Smigiel of Bondsville. She also leaves 3 siblings, Helen, Stella and Julian, 3 grandchildren, David and Patricia Hayes and Robert Smigiel, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Smigiel (1981), daughter Marion Hayes (2001) and siblings, Bertha, Viola, Nellie and Theodore. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. "
