Obituary of Barbara A. Barton

"Brimfield, Barbara A. (Geoffrion) Barton, 69, of Old Palmer Road died Monday, July 17, at Bay State Medical Center. Born in Warren, August 4, 1936, she lived there for many years before moving to Brimfield in 1968. She was retired from Warren Pumps in 1995 after 38 years. Barbara enjoyed bowling in her younger years and participated in a women’s league in Palmer. She was also a member of the Garden Club. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 38 years, Lester Barton, along with her two sons Gary Casey and his wife Michelle of Palmer, and Theodore Casey and his wife Joann of Wales. She also leaves two sisters Carol Kent and her husband Edward of Ware, and Kathleen Fountain of Warren, a step-sister Brenda Kamon of Dalton, many nieces and nephews and her five grandchildren, Carley, Jillian, Jenna, Christopher and Shaun. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by burial in Brimfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. preceding the service. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital332 N.
