Obituary of Luke Aaron Dufresne

"Belchertown- Luke Aaron Dufresne, 19, was taken unexpectedly to the Lord on July 12, 2006. Luke was born March 18, 1987 in Greenfield, Ma. He attended schools in Greenfield Ma, Warwick, RI and graduated from Belchertown High School in 2006. Luke was an avid dirt bike rider and competitor since the age of five. His love for the sport has won him many trophies over the past fourteen years. When he was not racing he was enjoying skateboarding, biking and playing paintball with his friends. Just recently he became an Auxiliary Police Officer in Enfield, Ct and just had begun a new job in Westfield, Ma. Luke was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Charles H. Blanchard. Luke will be sadly missed by his father David Dufresne of Belchertown, Ma and his mother Debbie Blanchard of Baltimore, Md. He will also be missed by his brothers Aaron Dufresne of Belchertown, Christopher Dufresne, his wife Tracey and their son Blake of Windsor Locks, CT. His quiet and caring personality will always be missed by his paternal grandparents Walter Dufresne of Ashfield, Ma, Irene Dufresne of Northampton, Ma and maternal grandmother Joanne Blanchard and her husband Charles S. Tyler of Easthampton, Ma. He also leaves many loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins. His many friends of Belchertown, Warwick, RI and Greenfield will miss Luke’s unmistakable laugh and humor. Calling hours will be held Sunday July 16 from 2:00-5:00p.m. at Beers and Story Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. (RT 202) Belchertown, Ma, followed by a service of remembrance on Monday, July 17 at 1:00pm.
