Obituary of Edward F. Baran

"Holyoke – Edward Baran, 70, of Chestnut St., died on Jan. 26, 2006 in Holyoke Medical Center. Born on June 11, 1935 in Holyoke, MA he was a lifelong resident. Edward was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Ichton) Baran. He was a school bus driver for Five Star and retired in 1999. Previously he worked for many years as an auto body mechanic. Edward was a communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Madonna (Ulmer) Baran and a son Michael Baran, his wife Kristin and his two beloved grandchildren Lily Rebecca and Cole Edward of Avon Ct, who brought him great pride and joy. He also leaves a brother Robert Ichton of Sebastian, FL many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by a brother Kenneth Ichton. A funeral service will be Monday at 10:30am in the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rt116), followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. "
