Obituary of Grace E. Hermanson

"Monson- Grace “June” E. (Moffett) Hermanson, 85, of Maxwell Rd. passed away January 25 at Redstone Rehabilitation with her family by her side. Born June 1, 1920 in Milford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Huston L. and Grace (MacLagan) Moffett. Grace has lived in Monson since 1945, previously residing in Bondsville. Grace graduated from Palmer High School in 1939 and later attended her 50th Reunion. She was a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church, a life member of Palmer 19th Masonic District Widows Association, and a member of the Eastern Star. June worked in the kitchen for over 25 years at Monson Developmental Center until retiring in 1992. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph W. in 1981, and is survived by her daughter Gail Nivers of Block Island, RI, along with five grandchildren, Ronald, Deborah, Brian, Scott, and Kelly, and eight great grandchildren, Michael, Timmy, Samantha, TJ, Caroline, Molly, Jacob and Alexis. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church in Palmer. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
