Obituary of Edward F. Czupkiewicz

"Belchertown – Edward F. Czupkiewicz, Sr., 78, of Jensen Rd., died on January 18, 2006 in Mary Lane Hospital. Born in Chicopee, MA on August 19, 1927, he was raised at Brightside in Holyoke then moved to Belchertown in 1966. Mr. Czupkiewicz served his country in the US Navy during WWII and Korea and was a member of the VFW Post 130. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ed was a licensed plumber for many years for the Plumbers Union 104. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marcelle (Terault) Czupkiewicz, he was predeceased by a son Edward F., Jr. on June 28, 2001. He leaves six daughters Lynn Potter of Holyoke, Gail Czupkiewicz and Debby Langford both of Belchertown Tina Sikorski of Springfield, Lisa Drew and Laurie Rocheleau both of Belchertown. He also leaves a daughter-in-law Candace Czupkiewicz, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and five siblings Frederick, Amelia, Wanda, Phillis and Ginger. He was predeceased by six siblings Florian, Walter, Helen, Olga, Stanley and Max. Funeral services will be Monday, January 23 at 9:15am at the BEERS & STORY BELCHERTOWN FUNERAL HOME, followed by a mass at 10:00am in St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in South Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Edward Czupkiewicz, Jr. Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1287, Belchertown, MA 01007. "
