Obituary of Mary E. Kozec

"Palmer- Mary E. (Dominik) Kozec, 92, previously of the Three Rivers section of Palmer, passed away January 5 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born August 4, 1913 in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late August and Viola (Miklasiewicz) Dominik. Mary had lived most of her life in the Palmer and Monson area. She graduated from Palmer High School and formerly lived on State Ave. and was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Mary was a flower arranger at the family run Mariniski’s Greenhouse until her late 80’s. She enjoyed bird watching and rock collecting. Mary also looked forward to Sunday drives with family and special friends and spending time at the ocean. Mrs. Kozec was predeceased by her husband Theodore A. in 1996, and is survived by her two children Theodore, Jr. and his wife Caroline of East Longmeadow and Dorothy K. and her husband Richard A. Leitch, Sr. of Norton, MA. Mary also leaves four grandchildren Richard Leitch, Jr., Deborah Leitch, Michael Kozec and Karen Signor as well as 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church followed by burial in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Resident Activity Dept. at Lifecare of Wilbraham, Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA 01095. "
