Obituary of Eileen Theresa Goodrow

"Belchertown - Eileen T. (Gallagher) Goodrow, 64, of Brandywine Drive, passed away on September 7, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 22, 1952 in Dublin, Ireland, daughter of the late Hugh Gallagher and Rita (Martin) Gallagher of Belchertown. Eileen has resided in Belchertown for 35 years. She retired from Amherst College after working for over 10 years as a service advisor. Eileen was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She loved gardening, photography, country music and her animals. Above all she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, she will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years, Steve Goodrow of Belchertown, two children, Nathan Goodrow and wife Katherine of Palmer and Rachael Goodrow of Asheville, NC. She also leaves her precious granddaughter Abigail, three sisters, Rita Smith of Huntington, Catherine Maleckas of Springfield and Marie Bronder of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh and her brother, Michael Gallagher. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 12, 2016, from 4-7 pm followed by a closing prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Beers and Story Funeral Home. ."
