Obituary of Raymond K. Hilliard

"Belchertown, Raymond K. Hilliard, 85, of Amherst Road, died Monday, at his home with his family by his side. Born in Montague, February 21, 1925, he lived for many years in Turners Falls before moving to Belchertown 33 years ago. An Army veteran, he served his country during WWII. During his working career, he worked for the MA Department of Public Works out of the Belchertown Maintenance Depot, retiring as a supervisor in 1990. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 33 years, Joan ( Letourneau) Hilliard, his children, Kenneth Hilliard and Jennifer Long and her partner, Geoff Vann all of Belchertown. He also leaves a cherished granddaughter Kerrie Long, and many brothers in laws and sisters in laws. A memorial service will be Friday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Belchertown Congregational Church, 10 Park St. Beers & story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
