Obituary of Kenneth W. Staback

"Palmer, Kenneth W. Staback, 56, of Spring Street, died suddenly on Monday, April 25. Born in Ware, July 19, 1948, he was the son of Walter and Madeline (Reidy) Staback of Palmer. Kenny grew up in Palmer and was a graduate of its high school and a lifelong resident. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during Vietnam and received several commendations, including the Purple Heart Medal and maintained his membership with the American Legion Post 130 in Palmer. He has worked for Palmer Paving for 36 years and was a heavy equipment operator. Besides his parents he will be deeply missed by his wife Vicki (Folger) Staback, his step daughter Mandi Cadoret and her husband Shaun of Brimfield, his sister Kathy Jones and her husband Ron of Thorndike, step-nephew Jeffrey Jones, and his precious granddaughter Alexis. He also leaves two nephews Jesse Dane and Billy Rowe, and a grand niece Libby. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by full military honors at Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery in Agawam at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to Quaboag Valley Visiting Nurse Association, 42B Wright Street, Palmer, 01069.
