Obituary of Edith G. Keough

" Brimfield – Edith G.(Mackechnie)Keough, 79, of Brookfield Rd. passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2009 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Edie was born Oct. 9, 1930 in Springfied, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (MacGregor)Mackechnie. Prior to moving to Brimfield in 1967, Edie lived on Liberty St. Edie spent her life caring for her family. Before retiring Edie worked as a Special Needs Bus Monitor. She was a member of the Scottish Clan Murray. She enjoyed crocheting, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, going out with her children, most of all spending time talking and visiting with her family and friends; and her morning coffee at Table One. Edie made everyone feel special and loved. She will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Keough, her sons, Jack Keough and his wife Susan of Holland, Dennis Keough and Julie La Rochelle of Brimfield, Michael Keough and his wife Sheila of Holland, James Keough and Amy Ruest of Brimfield, and her daughter Gail Turkington and her husband Steven of Holland, 2 grandsons, 7 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by her sister, Helen Platt of Cleveland, OH and her family. She was predeceased by her brother Edmund. Services will be held at Beers and Story Funeral Home, Palmer on Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Brimfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be , Nov. 23 from 5 – 7 p.m. and Nov. 24 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Beers and Story. Flowers or contributions maybe made to the American Cancer Society. "
