Obituary of Alexandria I. Provada

"Belchertown -Alexandria I. (Lach) Provoda, 93, of Everett Ave. passed away November 11, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Born on November 18, 1915 in Chicopee, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Forys) Lach. Living in the Fairview section of Chicopee, Alexandria relocated to Belchertown 25 years ago. She worked for 25 yeas for the Foodmart Corporation, retiring from the South Hadley store in 1980 as the Delicatessen Manager. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and enjoyed traveling and gardening. Alexandria was predeceased in death by her husband, Elias F., in 1972. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Carol Ann Fallon and her husband John of So. Hadley along with her three grandchildren, Sabin, Shawn and Alexis Fallon. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive her. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter Eileen Provoda along with her siblings Caroline, Edna, Stacia, Mitchell, and John. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary staff of Beaven Kelly Home, where Alexandria resided, for the loving and compassionate care provided to their mother. Visitation will be held at the Beers & Story So. Hadley Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Liturgy will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church with burial to follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
