Obituary of Hazel P. Marshall

"Belchertown - Hazel P. Marshall, 86, of State St. died on November 6, 2009 in Wing Memorial Hospital. She was born November 3, 1923 in Belchertown, MA, daughter of Theron and Celia (Blackmer) Pratt. She served her country in the US Marine Corp during WWII. Hazel worked as a medical secretary at the former Belchertown State School for over 30 years. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Belchertown Senior Center. In her leisure, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and the times she spent traveling with her husband. She is survived by three children, Robert Marshall of Wayne, PA, Barbara Castro of Tampa, FL and Betty Marshall of Belchertown. She also leaves a sister Sylvia Conkey, brother Merton Pratt both of Belchertown, 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Marshall in 2006. Services will be held at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. A Calling hour will be Tuesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
