Obituary of Sandra D. Whitney

"South Hadley, Sandra D. Whitney, 71, died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Born in Jay, ME, on October 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Frances (Lane) Doe. Sandra resided in Ludlow for many yeas before relocating to South Hadley in 1999. She was a very active member of the Life Point Church (Tabernacle Baptist Church) in South Hadley. She worked in sales for the former Monsanto Chemical Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1999. She will be deeply missed by her son, Terry and his wife Ellen of Hardwick, her brother Kendrick Doe of Haverhill, MA, her brother-in-law, Bill Sperr of Peabody, MA along with many loving nieces and nephews. Her sister, Joanne Sperr, predeceased her. A funeral service will be held at Life Point Church on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours are from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home.
