Obituary of Robert L. Buckley

" Plymouth, MA, Robert L. Buckley, 60, died March 3, 2005 with his best friend Mike by his side at Holyoke Hospital after a long battle with brain cancer. Born February 15, 1945, in Norwalk, CT he is the son of Florence (Fiaschetti) Buckley of Danbury, CT and the late Clayton Buckley. Bob was raised in Norwalk, CT, lived in Newtown, CT for 18 years and has lived in Plymouth, MA for the last two years. He served in Vietnam with the US Marines Third Marine Division. He worked as a warehouse manager for TMC Group in Pembroke, MA for two years and previously worked for IPI in Sandy Hook, CT for 18 years as an office manager. Bob was an avid golfer and gardener and played softball in a Bethel, CT league. He also appreciated Civil War history and collected memorabilia related to that era. Besides his mother, Bob will be missed by his wife of 28 years Fran (Pupek) Buckley, his daughter Denise French of West Haven, CT, a brother Alan Buckley of Edgewater, FL and granddaughter Devlin Merri French of West Haven, Ct. He also leaves his father and mother–in–law Chester and Claire Pupek of South Hadley, sisters in law Donna Pupek of South Hadley, Shirley Hensley and her husband Gary of Boise, Idaho and Diane Lynch and her husband Mike of South Hadley along with aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his beloved German shepherds Rudy and Annie. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St (Rt116) followed by a mass at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church.
