Obituary of Alison J. Rokosz

"Monson- Alison J. (Fettes) Rokosz, 55, of Monson, MA, passed away October 12 , 2009 at home with her family by her side. Born December 24, 1953 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Alice (McHendry) and the late George Fettes. She has lived in Monson for many years with her husband of 34 years, Edward Rokosz. Alison was a math teacher at Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School for 21 years. She loved her students, was a cheerleading coach for many years, and enjoyed shopping, boating, and skiing. Alison will be missed by her husband, along with her daughter Kelly (Rokosz) Moreau, her husband Adam Moreau, and granddaughter Madelyn of Monson; daughter Ashley Rokosz, her husband Nathan Chubb, and granddaughter Elizabeth of West Wareham. Alison also leaves her siblings, Gordon Fettes of Palmer, Gail Savoy of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeanne Oliver of Morrisville, NY, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother George Fettes. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A remembrance service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
