Obituary of Dorothy E. Jeffery

" Dorothy E. (Cole) Jeffery, 91, of Homestead St. died on October 7, 2009 at Quaboag On The Common. She was born September 10, 1918 in Palmer, MA, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth (Sinclair) Cole. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked as an accounting clerk for Mass.Electric and Westover credit union. She was a member of and active in the choir at the Union Evangelical Church for over 60 years, and a member of the Ladies Guild. Among her greatest loves in life were her sense of humor, her love of music, cooking and baking, the Boston Red Sox, and her wonderful family. She will be deeply missed by her children Susan Emery and Lynn Pardo of Palmer, Karen Lauder of Amherst, and Brian Jeffery of Chester, NJ. She also leaves a brother Wilbur Cole, a sister Gertrude Allison, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, followed by burial in the Four Corners Cemetery, Thorndike. A calling hour will be Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, Carew St., Springfield, MA. "
