Dear Maureen: Unfortunately, Carol and I were unable to attend your mother's service as we were out of town, but I did want to let you know that while I knew you father only for a short period of time in the early 70's, I did have an opportunity to get to know your mother. She was a wonderful upbeat person with a winning smile for all and never a bad word about anyone. When I was in the Treasurer's office, I always relied on her knowledge of the town parcels and their owners to aid me in my job. She had a great memory (it probably helped that John was a surveyor and he had shared his info with her) and she in turn was always willing to share it with me. I cannot every remember her being in low spirits. I will always fondly remember her and wish to express our sympathies to you on your loss. Bob Ward
