Obituary of Mark T. Swank

"Belchertown- Mark T. Swank, 51, of Allen Rd. died suddenly February 11, 2005 at Mary Lane Hospital. Born February 17, 1953 in Northampton, he was the son of the late Burton W. and Imelda (Lyons) Swank of Belchertown. Mark graduated from Northampton High School in 1971 and went on to get a degree in English from Worcester State College. He formerly worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and for the past ten years has been employed as a salesman for Solomon/MSCC Casket Company in Cranston, RI. Mark was an Eagle Scout and very involved in scouting. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, biking, tennis, and photography. Mark is survived by his mother with whom he lived, two sons, Matthew of Boston, and Gregory of Princeton as well as with a brother Paul of Rancho Santa Fe, CA , a niece and nephew, and his longtime love, Marianne Bodzinski of Belchertown. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a mass of Christian Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to Boy Scouts of America, National Council, P.O.
