I don't have a memory to share, but going through a Time magazine from 1956 I found an ad for the B-52 and a picture of Richard E. Johnson in it. Seeing as he was from the area, I looked him up online and discovered this page. If any of the family would like the ad, I'd be more than happy to mail it someone. My email is louis.falcetti@gmail.com My condolences for your loss, you are all in my family's thoughts and prayers.

Dad was like a father that I never really had. His sense of humor made me laugh. He was always there for me, even when I didn't know he was. My children loved grandpa so much, and they will miss him dearly. They knew he loved them, genuinely. I am so glad to be a part of the Johnson family, and to know Dad was an honor. He was down to earth, loving, caring, and most of all to me, a friend. He never judged me, only kept loving me. When I talked to him on the phone 2 days before he went home to be with the Lord, we laughed about several things. I'm so glad I had that special time with him. The character he had was immense and strong. I am blessed that my husband, Scott possesses these also, just like Dad....Mom, I love you. My heart and prayers go out to all the family, Brian, Robin, and Mark.

Dad was the kind of father that you could only hope to have.We will all miss him dearly. But let rejoice for the chance we all had to know such a great man. Rejoice, as he is now rejoicing in heaven. Thanks to all the friends and family for all of your prayers, and thoughts.

Knowing Dick Johnson throughout our years in the Shriners has given us many fun memories. Pre parties at the home of Dick and June were filled with good memories, lots of fun, and nice delicious food. All the places we have been we have enjoyed the company of Dick and he has left with us memories we will hold dear. Ed and I express our deepest sympathy and our love to Dick's family and we will always be near to assist and share with them their sadness and their beautiful memories of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Uncle Richard was such a lively part of our family. As my Mom's younger brother, he certainly lived up to the Smith family tradition of practical jokes and other shenanigans. Never a dull moment when Uncle Richard is around! My heart goes out to Aunt June and everyone in the family. Uncle Richard will be missed but I will always smile when I think of him.
