Obituary of Alice L. Lombard

"Alice L. Lombard, 64, of Bolton St., died February 2, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Johnson, VT, on August 28, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Loren Lombard and Elsie (Ralph) Lombard Swinski and has lived in S. Hadley since 1979. She worked as a bookkeeper for Johnson Real Estate in W. Springfield from 1979 until she retired in 2002. Alice loved to travel, as well as crochet and knit, but she was most devoted to her family. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Alice and her husband Bradley Shimmin of Longmeadow, along with her four brothers Loren of S. Hadley, Edward, Frank and John all of Chicopee, and her two sisters Janice Cote of Granby, and Connie Lombard of Chicopee. She also leaves her stepfather Harry Swinski of Chicopee and a step brother Kenneth Swinski of Longmeadow as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Beers and Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton Street, (Rte 116). Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 6 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. At the family’s request, please make donations in her memory to Baytstate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Springfield, 01102."
