Obituary of Thomas W. Korniotes

"Thomas W. Korniotes, 58, beloved husband of Susan (Carr) Korniotes of Oak Ridge Circle, died Wednesday, September 23, at Bay State Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield, June 15, 1951, he was the son of Virginia (Varvaky) Korniotes Roy Thompson of Hampden and the late William Korniotes. He worked for many years in the Springfield area as a supervisor for convenience stores and Jiffy Lube. Besides his mother and wife, he is survived by his five children Angela Korniotes of Orlando, FL, Will Korniotes of Ware, Matthew Korniotes and his wife April of Fredericksburg, VA, Jennie Korniotes of Fredericksburg, VA, and Tara Brady and her husband Tony of Orange City, FL. He is also survived by his brothers Nicholas Korniotes and his wife Colleen of Marstons Mills, Jim Roy and his wife Betsy of Hampden, and Ray Roy and his wife Noreen of Somers, CT. He leaves two grandchildren, Brantley Wiselka and Madison Korniotes of Fredericksburg, VA. His stepmother Kitty Stewart and her husband Jack of Rosamond, CA, also survive him. He also leaves 16 nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family members who reside in North Carolina. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 28 at Evangel Assembly at 348 Stony Hill Road, Wilbraham, MA at 7 P.M. Prior to the service; the family will receive friends beginning at 6 P.M.
