Obituary of Kenneth L. Shackett

" Brimfield, Kenneth L. Shackett, 70, of Meadowbrook Acres, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. Born and raised in West Springfield, MA on August 6, 1934, he was the son of Evelyn (Hosmer) Shackett of Chicopee and the late Walter Shackett. Kenneth lived in Palmer for many years before moving to Brimfield in 1990. He retired in 1995 after working for 17 years for Warren Pump after his retirement he worked for Arrow Security in Springfield. Kenneth will be remembered for his love of his American Indian Heritage and the Mohawk Trail and his passion for golf and motorcycles. Besides his mother, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 16 years Jody (Paciorek) Shackett, along with five children Charlotte and her husband Andrew, Carl and his wife Heather, Clifford and his wife Kathy, Curtis and his wife Jana and Scott and his wife Michelle. He also leaves eleven grandchildren Donald, Carl, Jr., Nikole, Kyle, Candice, Timothy, Rhiannon, Chadwyck, Lukas, Cassandra and Camryn and three great grandchildren Benjamin, Cacey James and Hailey as well as his sister Carolyn Ruta and many extended family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
