Obituary of Victor J. Dolat

"Granby, Victor J. Dolat, Jr., 63, of Barton St., died Tuesday, July 28 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, July 6, 1946, he was the son of Dorothy (Crevier) Dolat of Chicopee and the late Victor J. Dolat, Sr. He has lived in Granby for 37 years and had worked for Winn Management prior to his retirement. A veteran of Vietnam, he served in the Army. In his leisure, Victor enjoyed fishing, time on his computer and watching television. He will be deeply missed by his wife Rosemary (St. James) Dolat, along with a daughter Jennifer DiRico and her husband Jay of Chicopee and a son Joseph and his wife Jennifer of Holden, MA. Three grandchildren Gianna, Allison and Juliana, a sister Judith Messier and husband Ronald of Springfield and nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 30 from 4:00-7:00 p.m at the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rte. 116). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby. Burial will follow in West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society. "
