Lori - Bless you honey I feel so sad and wished I had kept closer touch with her. She was a beautiful person. She was loved by everybody that worked with her.

I met Shirley at my first real job out of college where I had some supervisory responsibilities but no idea how to supervise people, especially someone as fiesty as Shirley. Within a short time we had resolved our differences and came to be great friends. I will always cherish the gifts she gave me (both tangible and intangible). Her sense of style and kindness to co-workers made a big impression on me .

We came to know Shirley as our neighbor on Old Warren Rd. She was the neighborhood watch for us. At Halloween Shirley always had special bags for our kids. Even when she moved farther up the street, we knew her watchful eye was upon us. She is still watching from above.

I was "Patrick" to Shirley's "Auntie Mame," a bond created way back at Wright's traffic dept. in West Warren. She really was like a second mom, always concerned and every ready with advice. My mom Blanche, sister Maryann and I express our deep sympathies to Lori, Dr. Tom, and family at Shirley's loss. May she rest in the arms of the good and merciful Lord! Love, Michael & family

So many fond memories of Shirley from my childhood. Thanksgiving never seemed like "Thanksgiving" unless Shirley and Lori were with us at our table. We'd talk and laugh and feast all day long. Later, as a young woman, I had a new appreciation for Shirley. I saw a lady who worked hard to provide for her daughter. Shirley was professional, confident, determined and strong. She was also funny and fun; a vibrant and sparkling personality. And , Wow!, did she ever have style! Shirley, you will be missed. Love, Debbie

It's hard to find the words at this time to express my love and appreciation for all our family and friends who helped me do the best job possible taking care of Mum and keep my promise that she not have to go back to the hospital. You all know who you are and just know that I know I could NOT have done it without you. Period. Mum is finally free of her oxygen mask. God Bless you all. Love, Lori
