Obituary of Matthew David Jones

" Matthew D. Jones, 21, of Town Farm Road died (suddenly) Saturday at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Springfield, May 3, 1983 he was the son of David L. and Kathleen (Day) Jones with whom he lived. He was a 2001 graduate of Pathfinder Regional Vocational High School and was currently working at Lowe’s as a stock manager. He loved his jet ski, his motorcycle and amusement parks. Besides his parents, he will be deeply missed by his two brothers, Jason of Palmer and Eric at home, along with his maternal grandfather Alan Day and his wife Marie of Chicopee, his paternal grandmother Theresa Jones of Holyoke. He also leaves his nephew Pete Jones of Gilbertville and his girlfriend Amy Labranche of Indian Orchard. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Shirley Day. A service of Remembrance will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Monson. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m."
