Obituary of Albina Katherine Belisle

" Albina Katherine Belisle, 86, of Mt. Dumplin Road died Saturday at Palmer House Health Care Center. Born in the Bondsville section of Palmer, August 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late David and Katherine (Moriarty) Belisle. She grew up in Bondsville and lived in W. Springfield for many years before returning to Palmer in 1994. She was a telephone operator for 30 years for the former New England Telephone & Telegraph, now Verizon, before retiring in 1983. Albina was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She will be deeply missed by her sister Katherine and her husband Lou Pelletier with whom she lived, along with her brother Frank Belisle of Davie, FL, and her nephew David Belisle of Annapolis, MD, who she cared for as a child. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers David, Gilbert, Donald and Robert Belisle, and two sisters Mary Belisle and Bernice Coache. Funeral services will be Wednesday beginning from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m., followed by a mass in St. Anne’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made in her memory to either Palmer House Family Council, 250 Shearer St, or Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St, Palmer 01069."
