Obituary of Charles Henry Thompson

"Charles H. Thompson, 52, of Hollow Rd. died Tuesday, October 12, at home. Born in Springfield, May 17, 1952, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Kowal) Rodzik and the stepson of the late Frank Rodzik. Charlie grew up in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke Trade School. He lived for many years in Holyoke and Chicopee before relocating to Brimfield in 1990. He was a former 12 year employee of JD Rivet Roofing in Springfield before becoming disabled due to a fall in 1992. He was a member of the Roofers and Slaters Union Local 248, a member of the Polish Club in Monson and loved fishing, hunting, gardening and building. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 26 years, Linda (Bonney) Thompson, his three daughters Lynette Loosemore and her husband Richard of Brimfield, Kimberly Mleczko and her husband Robert of W. Springfield, and Erica Chavez and her husband Alex of Manchester, CT, along with a son Gary LePage and his wife Tina of Chicopee. He also leaves a sister Carol Colon of Springfield, along with a step sister Mary-Ann Bobowicz and step brother James Rodzik both of S. Hadley, and a step brother Frank Rodzik of Keene, NH as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his seven grandchildren, Erik and Matthew Thompson, Sarah and Chad LePage, Christine Mleczko, and Autumn and Jersey Loosemore. A gathering of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monson Polish Club on Bliss Street.
