Obituary of Shirley Ann Schoppe

"Brimfield-Shirley A. Schoppe, 65, of Maple Ct., passed away June 12, 2009 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. Born June 27, 1943 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. Schoppe and Maida M. (Warner) May. Shirley has lived in Brimfield for the past 5 years, previously residing in Palmer. She was a furniture upholsterer for many years and taught upholstering at Brimfield Academy. She loved watching birds and enjoyed all animals. Shirley also found much joy working with her hands in the garden and carpentry. She will be greatly missed by her 15-year Life Partner, Nina Stasiowski, along with her sister Sandra Schoppe and her husband John Metro of Wilbraham. Shirley will also be missed by her nephew, Eric Teed and his wife Megan Murphy along with Nina's children, Michael A. and his wife Lindsay, Jeffrey A. and Maryann E. Stasiowski, along with Nina's parents Edward and Marie Gallerani and their other daughters, Rachel Kaloroumakis, Beth Adams, and Debbie Wilder and their families. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 17th from 4:00-6:30 p.m. with a service of remembrance beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be privately held in CT. "
