Obituary of Madeleine Jean Parker

"Monson- Madeleine Jean (Lucas) Parker, 66, of Wilbraham Rd., died September 7 at Baystate Medical Center. Born October 27, 1937 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Charles and Kathryn (Magoohan) Lucas. Previously of Hampden, Madeleine has lived in Monson since 1970. She worked from 1972-1978 at Seven Gables Motel as the front desk manager and previously co-owned M & J Sportmen’s Corner in Palmer from 1984-1988. Madeleine leaves her husband of 37 years, Gerald F., and children Joseph C. O’Sullivan of Maryland, Robert M. O’Sullivan of Germany, Kathryn Lawrence of Wilbraham, two brothers Lawrence A. Lucas of Bondsville, John J. Lucas of Texas, five grandchildren and lifelong friend Sandra Ely of Wilbraham. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.Main St., followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. St. Patrick’s Church in Monson. Burial will be at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted and donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 31 Capital Dr., W. Springfield, MA 01089. "
