Obituary of Lois Brissette

"Palmer-Lois (Hale) Clough Brissette, 87, died September 6 at Palmer Healthcare Center. Born and raised in Monson, Feb 26, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Ernest S., Sr. and Lena M. (Shaw) Hale. Lois was a devoted wife of Alden Clough for 33 years and Lawrence Brissette for 23 years. She was a longtime resident of Palmer and also resided for 4 years in South Wellfleet Cape Cod where she enjoyed walking on the beach and working at the Trade Winds Gift Shop. Mrs. Brissette was very active and supportive in many grammar school organizations, a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Church in Palmer and loved music, dancing, horses and children. Lois leaves her children Gerald Clough of Ware, Alan Clough of Palmer, Lois Hatt of Belchertown, Sandra Potts of Forest, VA, Donna Mullen of Palmer, Sharon Trombly of Lynchburg, VA, Philip Clough of Warren and stepdaughters Diane Clough, Adrienne Lalashius and 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Monson. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the Family Council, c/o Palmer House, 250 Shearer St., Palmer, MA 01069. "
