Obituary of Mary Ann Mercier

"Belchertown- Mary Ann (Allard) Mercier, 84, of Chauncey Walker St., died Thursday at home surrounded by her family. Born June 16, 1920 in Manseau, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Rose Eva (Potvin) Allard. Mary Ann graduated from Holyoke High School in 1939. She lived in Holyoke for many years until moving to Belchertown in 1961. Mary Ann was dedicated to her faith; she was a communicant of St. Francis Church and participated in the hour of adoration. She enjoyed her weekly bingo games with her dear friends. She was a kind and loving women, who dedicated her life to her family, providing care to her loving husband, children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Rolland Mercier, her daughter Susan and her husband Raymond Mitchell of East Hampton and their daughter Caitlin, her son Philip and his wife Lynn Mercier of Belchertown and their children Scott, Rose, Corey and Amanda. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
