Obituary of Dorothy Mae Codraro

"Dorothy M. (Thibeault) Codraro, 82, of Jensen Road, died Saturday at Mary Lane Hospital. Born in Springfield, July 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Bessie Thibeault. Mrs. Codraro spent many years in Springfield before moving to Belchertown in 1957. She was retired from the former Belchertown State School after 25 years of service. She will be remembered by her family as a devoted wife and mother, and loving grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Richard Codraro in 1998. She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Carolyn Napolitan of Agawam, Marilyn Greiner of Lake Forest, CA and Sally Palmer with whom she lived for the past six years. She also leaves six brothers, Clifford and Ronald of Monson, Francis of Springfield, Larry of TX, Herbert of Virginia, and Paul of Stamford, CT, along with her two sisters Claire Dondley of Westfield, and Jean Thibeault of Rhode Island. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at South Cemetery. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Research, PO Box 2873 Springfield, MA 01101-2873."
