Obituary of Claire Rita Comtois

"Brimfield, MA-Claire R. (Bourdon) Comtois, 71, of Willow Circle, Meadowbrook Acres Park, died at her home July 1, 2004. Born in Woonsocket, RI, January 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Orise (Guilbeault) Bourdon of Woonsocket RI. Claire was educated in Woonsocket and lived in Southbridge from 1954-1994, before moving to Brimfield. She previously worked at Schott Fiberoptic in Southbridge for 22 years and retired in 1992 from MicroVasive in Milford, MA where she was a project R & D developer for 8 years. Claire was also the former President of Meadowbrook Acres Park Association. She is survived by her four children, Susan Reilly of Ludlow, MA, Marc Comtois of Oxford, MA, Carol Childress of Sturbridge, MA, and David Comtois of Oxford, MA. She also leaves three sisters, Doris Gosslin of Sarasota FL, Jeanne Alford of Blackstone, MA, Lillian Ayotte of Woonsocket, RI and 7 grandchildren - Danielle Comtois, Melissa Dame, Stacie Comtois, Daphne Comtois, Cassie Comtois, Stephen Comtois, Crystal Comtois and great granddaughter Kayleigh Kaldean. Claire was predeceased by her son Steven in 1980, her sister Gertrude Fournier of Blackstone, MA, in 1987 and her brother Wilfred Bourdon, Jr. of Woonsocket RI in June 2004. Services are pending all will soon be announced. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
